Meadowood Success Story

November 16, 2015

No one expects to become a nursing home resident, especially when they are young, but I am living proof that it can happen to anyone, regardless of their age.

I am just like everyone else - I was married, had a job, pets that I adored, and good friends. I had a life - just like everyone else. And it all came to and end. I had personal problems, together with health problems.

My experience in Meadowood Nursing Center has been a pleasant one - the staff (especially the Therapy Department) has helped get me back on my feet and walking! There was definitely a time when I was not sure that it would ever happen. I thought that I might remain bedbound. And it wouldn't have happened without the daily encouragement of the staff at Meadowood and my close-knit family rooting for me telling me that I was loved and that I was strong enough to take my life back into my own hands.

I now have a future - something that I didn't have when I was admitted - and I expect to discharge soon, and spend the holidays with my supportive family.
